best restaurant around
I dine out several times a week and I only dine in nicer establishments, I was turned in to Sequoia by a friend at one of thier wine dinners. it is wonderful to not have to go to san francisco to dine. the food and service at Sequoia are tuly world class.

Beautiful Restaurant/Mediocre Food
This is a beautiful, romantic restaurant. Unfortunately the food does not match the ambience, or the fine dining prices. After ordering two sub-par entrees I was unimpressed. Worse yet, after writing a thoughtful note to the owner on two occasions, she failed to acknowledge me with a response. This was the last straw for me. I don't understand why a reputable business would ignore its customers -- I can only assume the owner doesn't respond to customer complaints because she receives too many of them. A short drive away in El Dorado Hills you can have a true fine dining experience for the same prices -- Masque Ristorante. Don't waste your money at Sequoia.
